I would like to start by reflecting on the following work titled “LOVE” by the sculptor Alexander Milov.
When looking at this work, what is the first thing that comes to your mind? Have you ever been like the characters in the play who are so close, but at the same time so far? And if your answer is yes: How would you describe this feeling? And how do you act or did you act in this situation?
This eloquent sculpture from the Burning Man Festival shows inner children trapped in adult bodies. Everyone can draw their own conclusions about the meaning of the work for you (you can say so in the comments), but this is what Milov wrote about his work on the festival website: “It demonstrates a conflict between a man and a woman. woman as well as the internal and external expression of human nature. His inner being is in the form of transparent children, who hold hands through the lattice. When night comes, the children begin to shine. This glow symbolizes the purity and sincerity that unites people and gives the opportunity to put things right when dark times come.”
This made me think about what is happening in this world. Above all, how are we acting as people when a crisis comes, whether with a friend, girlfriend or wife? Are you one of the people who stay away? Or are you one of the people who brings you closer?
I can imagine those wires on the sculpture as a type of armor that this character puts on to protect himself. But here the question arises: What type of armor is it and what is behind this armor? What is your belief system that governs this person and what emotions led you to these beliefs? Although there are various reasons why people separate today. I think that the most common emotions may be fear, and in the face of fear, disbelief grows. This makes me think of Genesis 3:10 which talks about how after eating the apple Adam and Eve felt fear, fear that God would not forgive them. The reason they felt this is because the devil took away their trust in God. Then they were easy prey for the seed of unbelief to be planted in their hearts.
As human beings it is important that we observe our belief system, because we do not forget that disbelief stops the work of God. It is true that there are situations that will often make you believe that it is the absolute truth of the reality of this world. But God reminds us today that he has a plan within the plan and to stop!!! Stop questioning everything God gives you, or what He puts in your path. It doesn't mean that the path has to be easy, otherwise it wouldn't make sense to walk, and isn't it more fun to live with emotion?
And finally in the work the sculptor shows us that inside the two adults there are two children that they carry inside them and that if we stop to observe these children they refuse to separate because what they really want is to give each other a hug. So if we reflect on this it leads me to think that the true nature of the human being is not subject to defending egocentrism but rather the true nature of the human being is to defend love and give love.
If you made it this far I want to invite you to reflect on these questions and feel free to answer them yourself ;)
What thoughts govern your heart?
What emotions do not allow you to see absolute reality?
What color are the feelings in your shell?
On a scale of 1-10, how aware are you that you were designed by God to be a loving being?
At what moment do you act from the light of your inner child?
And if you identified any limiting beliefs in your heart, what would you need to do today to free yourself from this belief?
Until the next blog…….:)
